Every time I use a graphic power program(msn, browser, google earth, etc), my PC would freeze with green lines all over the screen and then black out. I put my older 8800 GT and it wont freeze.....I'm sad and angry at the same time. The only time it wont crash/freeze is in safe mode...and yes I did re-installed the drivers, I did a system restore, checked for virus etc.

dude that sucked that happend to me on my old desktop and it made me angy very very angry

I've found the problem.....the heatsick is badly designed, it blows the heat to 5 out of 6 capacitors and 2 of them blew, here are the pics.

I was using the PC before that happened, then suddenly I heard a loud POP, but I couldnt tell where it came from....thne I've read on the internet that when a graphic card capacitor explodes it makes a loud pop. And after that pop the PC started to freeze.

that makes sense but what a bad design ugh

once i saw a guide whcich tells that u have to put it into oven for some minutes ...dunno if it helps

Nah, I have to solder new capacitors which sells on the internet or PC store, so its fixable pretty easy, just need a couple of bucks which i dont have.
